About the role
- Director of Logistics leading enterprise-wide warehouse and logistics operations for Vibrant Ingredients. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and optimizing logistics performance in food manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute an enterprise warehouse and logistics strategy aligned with business growth, service, and cost objectives.
- Provide functional oversight of warehouse operations across four food manufacturing sites.
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, FSMA, OSHA, FDA, and USDA requirements.
- Optimize inventory accuracy, space utilization, labor productivity, and material flow.
- Oversee inbound and outbound transportation, freight strategy, carrier performance, and contract negotiations.
- Improve OTIF performance while managing freight and logistics costs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Partner with IT to enhance WMS, TMS, ERP, and data analytics capabilities.
- Lead, develop, and mentor warehouse and logistics leaders across all sites.
- Manage warehouse and logistics budgets while identifying sustainable cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 8–12 years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse and logistics operations
- Multi-site leadership experience required
- Experience in food manufacturing, ingredients, or CPG environments strongly preferred
