Finisterre seeks a Head of FP&A responsible for improving financial performance visibility and decision-making processes. The role is essential for supporting business growth through international expansion.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop the FP&A function, enhancing forecasting accuracy, financial modelling, and visibility of business performance
Build and maintain scalable operational and financial models to support planning, scenario analysis, and strategic decision-making
Design and own KPI dashboards and reporting frameworks, delivering a single source of truth for performance management
Leverage data analytics to drive performance tracking, profitability analysis, and robust business cases for new initiatives
Lead end-to-end business casing, tracking forecast versus actual ROI and embedding learnings into future investment decisions
Partner closely with senior leadership, department heads, and operational teams to provide clear financial insight and commercial challenge
Provide hands-on financial leadership while maturing the FP&A capability, including coaching and developing the FP&A analyst
Implement improved systems, processes, and controls suitable for a fast-moving, evolving organisation
Work closely with the Financial Controller to deliver timely, accurate monthly management reporting, with clear and actionable performance commentary
Partner with commercial teams on pricing strategy and new-market entry, providing rigorous financial diligence to support decisions
Requirements
Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
Proven experience in a senior FP&A leadership role, ideally within a high-growth, fast-paced environment
Deep financial modelling experience
Proven experience supporting both wholesale and direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels, with a strong understanding of their distinct financial drivers and performance metrics.
Exposure to PE-backed environments and investor-level reporting
Resourceful, creative, resilient and entirely flexible: thrives on positive change
Experience enhancing systems, reporting frameworks and data structures
Strong commercial acumen and cross-functional partnering skills
Excellent self-awareness, communication, networking and interpersonal skills
