About the role

  • Join Victim Support Scotland as a local service developer for victims and witnesses of crime. Ensure local service delivery while managing volunteer engagement in geographical areas.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring VSS’s local service development and delivery plan is implemented in your geographical area
  • Plan deployment of skilled and knowledgeable volunteers
  • Ensure service delivery meets desired outcomes for victims and witnesses of crime
  • Responsible for all aspects of volunteer engagement including recruitment, induction, learning, development, and performance management
  • Contribute to business planning and coordination ensuring continuous learning takes place

Requirements

  • Experienced in a similar role
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Effective leadership style
  • Analytical skills including understanding, collecting, analyzing, reporting and presenting data
  • Ability to challenge stereotyping, prejudice, discrimination and bias
  • Good working knowledge of the voluntary/charity sector
  • Willingness to be flexible in working hours
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
