Sales & Market Manager responsible for digital service strategies at Daimler Buses. Collaborating with international partners and enhancing public transport through innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
You will support our international subsidiaries and general agents as a sales representative and advisor on all relevant sales topics related to Daimler Buses’ digital services and software products.
You will ensure holistic management and development of the international markets you are responsible for and coordinate and shape our sales consultants into a winning team.
You will look after international partners and customers during factory visits as well as at events at home and abroad.
You will be responsible for quotation and order management, support in handling tenders, and the continuous monitoring, analysis and commentary of the market and competitive situation as well as technical sales requirements, with a focus on establishing suitable sales strategies.
You will own reporting and planning processes for the markets under your remit.
You will develop and evaluate scenarios and derive appropriate sales concepts and measures.
You will initiate communication activities related to product initiatives and to support planned positioning and sales targets (e.g. sales briefings, advertising, press activities).
You will carry out analyses of customer profiles and acceptance, product strengths and weaknesses, pricing, market and segment development, etc.
You will lead and support strategic (sub-)projects in the sales area of digital services.
You will take on representative roles in industry associations and committees. You will support partner management and the onboarding of new telematics service providers into the Daimler Buses ecosystem.
Requirements
University degree in Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Digital Business Management, International Business or a comparable field of study.
Several years of experience in selling digital services, connectivity or B2B capital goods, ideally with knowledge of public transport (ÖPNV), vehicle technology and EU tendering/public procurement.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, intercultural competence, and a high level of customer- and service-orientation combined with analytical and conceptual strength.
Experience coordinating and leading international sales teams and expertise in train-the-trainer approaches in an international context.
Willingness to travel internationally (Europe) and business-fluent German and English; additional European languages are an advantage.
