About the role

  • Commodity Manager executing sourcing strategies for mechanical commodities at Emerson. Collaborating with suppliers and teams to drive operational excellence and ensure supply chain reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies in alignment with organizational strategy to ensure a reliable supply chain for mechanical parts and assemblies
  • Monitor supplier performance to drive improvements and ensure global supply chain networks meet operational needs
  • Achieve cost savings and trade working capital improvements (DPO/Inventory) through negotiations, eSourcing, and other activities related to supplier selection and short/long-term strategies
  • Lead projects within assigned commodities and support annual financial planning cycles
  • Manage diverse group of suppliers – ensure KPI improvements and negotiate contracts
  • Assist with other strategic operations and supply chain projects and initiatives as needed
  • Offer support and mentoring for Associate Commodity Managers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Six (6) or more years of supply chain experience in a global manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of mechanical parts
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position
  • Travel up to 20% domestic and international
