Business Development Lead playing key role in expanding presence in oil & gas midstream market through identifying prospects and qualifying opportunities.
Responsibilities
Research, identify, and source new potential customers within the oil & gas midstream sector
Conduct outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and other communication channels to generate interest
Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and nurture early-stage leads
Hold discovery conversations to assess prospect needs, readiness, and fit for our midstream software solutions
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of early-stage opportunities in CRM
Partner closely with the external sales team to hand off fully qualified prospects and ensure a smooth transition
Track industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer challenges to help shape messaging and targeting
Provide regular updates on activity, pipeline metrics, and lead quality
Requirements
Associates Degree and 3+ years of demonstrated sales experience, direct or indirect sales
Strong communication skills—clear, confident, and comfortable engaging with midstream professionals
Ability to conduct research and independently source new prospects
Proficiency with CRM systems and basic sales tools
Highly self-directed, organized, and capable of managing follow-ups without supervision
Willing to travel up to 25%
