Outside Sales Engineer responsible for developing business growth in Life Science and Chemical industries. Engaging with key stakeholders and maximizing customer relationships in Italy.
Responsibilities
Understanding market needs and dynamics, developing and executing strategies and tactics to drive order growth and profitability.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and key stakeholders within customer organizations.
Understanding customer pain points, business drivers, and operational challenges to position Emerson’s solutions effectively.
Building and strengthening customer relationships by visiting key clients to present and promote Emerson’s value proposition.
Maximizing customer engagement through regular in-person meetings as well as other communication channels such as phone calls, emails, and webinars.
Negotiating business contracts within the agreed Delegation of Authority, including terms on pricing, discounts, and volume structures.
Collaborating with the sales support organization (both local and international) to develop winning sales and proposal strategies.
Maintaining an up-to-date project opportunity pipeline in CRM tools and continuously enhancing product and technology expertise.
Acting with integrity and compliance, ensuring all business activities follow company ethics and Trade Compliance procedures, and raising any concerns appropriately.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience
Solid technical background in process automation and industrial processes
Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales roles within the process or automation industry
Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
Fluent in English and Italian
Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites
Valid driver’s license
