About the role

  • Provide pre-and post-award support to academic researchers and investigators
  • Manage research funding applications in a fast-paced deadline-driven role
  • Oversee the delivery of post-award grant management including support for resource management and reporting on projects
  • Capture and analyze finance and resources of externally funded research activity

Requirements

  • HNC/HND or equivalent level qualifications plus relevant grants administration/accounts experience (within HE sector); demonstrating development through involvement in progressively more demanding relevant work/roles
  • Excellent accountancy and numeracy skills, with some knowledge of job costing and awareness of financial/budget modelling
  • High quality communication and relationship building skills with evidence of the ability to persuade and negotiate
  • High level of analytical and organisational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment for working in a varied and busy role, with a strong sense of service delivery.
