Responsibilities
You are the central interface for fuel markets and procurement (biomass, waste wood, alternative fuels, etc.)
You analyze markets, fuels and suppliers and support price negotiations and contract finalizations domestically and across Europe
You stay up to date on industry-specific standards, regulations and legal frameworks such as the EU Renewable Energy Directives (EU-REDs), the German Renewable Energy Act (EEG), the Biomass Ordinance, the Federal Immission Control Ordinance (BImSchV) and the Waste Wood Ordinance
You work closely with the energy business, asset management and on-site operations teams to develop and optimize procurement strategies and processes
You define relevant legal and regulatory requirements in the areas of fuel management and the circular economy
You accompany projects in all phases and act as the point of contact for fuel market and regulatory questions, particularly regarding application options and funding conditions
You support contract negotiations and customer meetings and maintain trusted relationships with customers
Requirements
Degree or technical training in engineering, agricultural engineering, forestry or a comparable field
Professional experience in material flow management, waste management or biomass/fuel procurement
Project management experience and knowledge of energy-market frameworks for biomass and alternative fuel solutions are an advantage
Open, team-oriented personality with intercultural competence and enjoyment in pursuing shared goals
Strong communication skills, confident negotiation ability and motivation to actively shape processes
Confident use of common IT tools, fluent German (at least C1), business-fluent English; additional language skills are a plus
Willingness to travel occasionally to our suppliers, plants and customers (approx. 20%)
