About the role

  • Operations Assistant supporting claims management and adjusting teams at global legal business DWF. Overseeing help desk and maintaining claims management systems for operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the central Help Desk, including troubleshooting and resolving operational and system-related issues
  • Ensure claims operational support services are delivered to the required quality standards
  • Maintain the Claims Management System(s)
  • Identify data issues and contribute to developing solutions that improve accuracy
  • Produce and manage exception reports ensuring timely action to maintain accurate claims information
  • Maintain the Client Portal, liaising with Central IT Services where necessary

Requirements

  • Educated to GCSE level in Maths and English (Grades A–C)
  • Experience working within Claims/Adjusting Operations or Claims/Adjusting Administration
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with particular expertise in Microsoft Excel
  • Effective time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Understands the importance of support processes within a customer‑focused environment
  • Technologically confident, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and software
  • Able to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a team
  • Uses initiative and applies problem‑solving skills
  • Flexible and capable of managing multiple activities simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional, approachable, and solutions‑focused
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement
