About the role

  • Construction Manager overseeing contractor activities in field locations. Ensuring construction standards and project delivery for Duke Energy services.

Responsibilities

  • direct on-site oversight and execution of contractor construction, maintenance and restoration activities
  • working on active construction projects with transmission and wireless vendors
  • adherence to construction standards, work methods and procedures
  • understanding of safe work practices
  • manage the execution of Customer Delivery work plan
  • ensure the efficient utilization of contractor resources
  • accountable for validating that contractors are performing job readiness checks
  • document any anomalies in the work plan
  • monitor progress of work orders assigned
  • review jobs to identify switching required
  • validate contractors are following the current CD planned outage process

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
  • minimum four (4) years relevant work experience
  • In lieu of required degree, High School/GED and minimum six (6) years relevant work experience
  • OSHA certification preferred
