Responsibilities
- Operate and further develop the Software Asset Management (SAM) tool, and automate workflows and reports to improve efficiency
- Advise internal clients on Software Asset Management and support license inventories and audits
- Analyze license usage and identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization
- Manage the SAP license inventory, including ensuring correct measurement, assigning licenses, and orchestrating license repurchase activities
- Advise SAP-using IT areas/products—especially on choosing the appropriate licensing, optimizing license costs and inventory, and defining requirements for new SAP contracts
- Support Service Managers in planning, administering, and billing license and maintenance fees
Requirements
- Completed 2-year technical college or at least a 3-year vocational training, plus additional specialized further training or equivalent qualifications acquired by other means
- Knowledge of SAM processes, ideally with experience implementing, operating, and further developing SAM tools
- Experience automating workflows and reports, e.g., with Power Automate, scripting, or comparable tools
- Ability to analyze license usage and identify potential savings
- Ideally, experience managing SAP licenses, including license measurement with the License Administration Workbench and knowledge of SAP license metrics and contractual terms
