Responsibilities
Operate and further develop the Software Asset Management (SAM) tool, and automate workflows and reports to improve efficiency
Advise internal clients on Software Asset Management and support license inventories and audits
Analyze license usage and identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization
Manage the SAP license inventory, including ensuring correct measurement, assigning licenses, and orchestrating license repurchase activities
Advise SAP-using IT areas/products—especially on choosing the appropriate licensing, optimizing license costs and inventory, and defining requirements for new SAP contracts
Support Service Managers in planning, administering, and billing license and maintenance fees
Requirements
Completed 2-year technical college or at least a 3-year vocational training, plus additional specialized further training or equivalent qualifications acquired by other means
Knowledge of SAM processes, ideally with experience implementing, operating, and further developing SAM tools
Experience automating workflows and reports, e.g., with Power Automate, scripting, or comparable tools
Ability to analyze license usage and identify potential savings
Ideally, experience managing SAP licenses, including license measurement with the License Administration Workbench and knowledge of SAP license metrics and contractual terms
