About the role
- Transport Manager coordinating intermodal transport logistics for the L.I.T. Group in Austria. Ensuring smooth operations and close collaboration with clients and partners.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations in intermodal transport
- Responsible for the efficient and timely truck dispatch from our intermodal HUBs in Germany
- Act as the primary contact for customers, partners and carriers in daily operations
- Monitor and manage transport processes — economical, reliable and service-oriented
- Execute freight purchasing and sales to optimize vehicle load utilization
- Work closely and coordinate with train planning, transport management and other internal interfaces
Requirements
- Several years of experience in truck dispatch
- A completed vocational qualification in the logistics field, e.g., as a Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services Clerk, or further training such as a dispatcher qualification is desirable
- Good German and/or English skills, both written and spoken
- Strong organizational skills and a solution-oriented approach to efficiently manage transport processes even under time pressure
- Reliable and flexible working style to confidently respond to short-notice changes in daily operations
- Team-oriented communication to ensure close and smooth collaboration with customers, partners and internal stakeholders
