About the role

Responsibilities
- Advising managers, employees and other persons responsible for occupational safety and accident prevention
- Safety inspections of plant facilities, work procedures and technical equipment
- Monitoring the implementation of occupational safety and accident prevention, including related walk-throughs/audits; reporting deficiencies and proposing corrective and preventive measures
- Investigating and analyzing the causes of accidents
- Promoting improvements to HSE processes to foster a safety culture within the company
- Acting as HSE management system representative (DIN EN ISO 45001, DIN EN ISO 14001) with the associated responsibilities
- Tracking laws, regulations and standards by maintaining the HSE legal register
Requirements
- Degree in operational safety management, safety engineering, environmental engineering or a comparable field
- Qualified Occupational Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit)
- Auditor qualification desirable
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Languages: German — business fluent; English — basic knowledge
