About the role

  • Sourcing Specialist at Dow Thailand Group managing services and indirect materials procurement and supplier management. Enhancing cost competitiveness and supply security at the Map Ta Phut site.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of services and indirect material using the Strategic Sourcing Process to improve cost, supply security, and performance.
  • Analyze spend data to identify value opportunities and support sourcing strategy development.
  • Maintain market knowledge on cost structure, pricing trends, supplier capabilities, risks, and developments such as financial changes or M&A.
  • Lead full‑cycle sourcing: supplier identification, qualification, RFI/RFQ/RFP, bidding, and negotiations.
  • Use e‑sourcing tools (e‑RFI, e‑RFQ, e‑Auctions) to improve efficiency and transparency.
  • Implement commercial agreements and ensure compliance with procurement governance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, specifications, quality, volume, logistics, and qualification needs.
  • Anticipate business needs and recommend competitive sourcing solutions that drive savings and performance.
  • Build strong relationships with internal partners across business, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, finance, as well as with external suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier performance evaluations and manage Supplier Relationship Management activities to improve KPIs such as safety, productivity, and quality.
  • Identify and resolve supplier performance issues and evaluate supplier risks to ensure compliance with operational and safety requirements.
  • Ensure all procurement processes comply with established policies, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Proactively identify and challenge inefficiencies, process deviations, or strategy misalignments to strengthen sourcing effectiveness and value delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a reputable university, preferably in Engineering, Procurement/Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement, preferably within a petrochemical or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in labor services or MRO spare parts procurement is an advantage.
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written), with proven ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English (min. TOEIC 650).
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and capability to solve supply, cost, and logistics issues under pressure.
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, negotiation, and strategic thinking.
  • Knowledge of contract implementation and lifecycle management.
  • Ability to use digital tools (Power Platform, GenAI) to enhance productivity.
