About the role
- Global Sourcing Manager for Logistics at Döhler Group, implementing global sourcing strategies for trucking in the food industry. Collaborating with stakeholders and managing supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
- Implementation of the global sourcing strategy for truck transport (ambient, temperature-controlled, hazardous goods, and tankers)
- Alignment of the strategy with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Analysis and evaluation of suppliers based on quality, cost and global standardization
- Management of truck tenders, spot requests and evaluation of inquiries
- Monitoring of price trends, adjustment of sourcing strategies and negotiation of contracts
- Monitoring of fuel surcharges and ensuring compliance with quality, governance and sustainability standards
- Market monitoring to identify optimal procurement timing and evaluation of outsourcing opportunities
- Management of contract administration and stakeholder communication
- Conducting performance reviews with preferred suppliers
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Freight Forwarding/Logistics or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in procurement, preferably in logistics (particularly truck transport) within the food industry or a related sector
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA, TMS (Transport Management Systems), MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and tendering tools
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
- Hands-on mentality
- Strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Communication skills, relationship management and adaptability
