About the role
- Technical buyer responsible for procurement of technical services and supplier qualification at SCHÜTZ. Overseeing order confirmations, delivery dates, and complaints management.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the procurement of technical services
- Determination of requirements in coordination with requestors, inventory monitoring and disposition/planning
- Preparation of inquiries, obtaining and evaluating quotations, issuing purchase orders and scheduling in coordination with the specialist department
- Processing order confirmations, monitoring delivery dates and, if necessary, handling complaints
- Developing concepts to ensure supply availability during shortages and implementing cost-reduction measures
- Sourcing and qualifying new suppliers, including required on-site visits, and preparing corresponding contracts
- Conducting supplier audits in collaboration with our SHEQ management
Requirements
- Completed training as an industrial clerk (Industriekaufmann/-frau), a degree in Business Administration, certification as a Purchasing and Materials Management Specialist (e.g., certified purchasing manager), or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in purchasing desirable, preferably in a manufacturing company
- Knowledge of procurement management and service disposition/planning
- Understanding of technological contexts and industrial manufacturing processes
- Strong negotiation skills as well as planning and organizational ability, combined with teamwork and communication skills
- Confident user of SAP and MS Office
