About the role

  • Technical buyer responsible for procurement of technical services and supplier qualification at SCHÜTZ. Overseeing order confirmations, delivery dates, and complaints management.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the procurement of technical services
  • Determination of requirements in coordination with requestors, inventory monitoring and disposition/planning
  • Preparation of inquiries, obtaining and evaluating quotations, issuing purchase orders and scheduling in coordination with the specialist department
  • Processing order confirmations, monitoring delivery dates and, if necessary, handling complaints
  • Developing concepts to ensure supply availability during shortages and implementing cost-reduction measures
  • Sourcing and qualifying new suppliers, including required on-site visits, and preparing corresponding contracts
  • Conducting supplier audits in collaboration with our SHEQ management

Requirements

  • Completed training as an industrial clerk (Industriekaufmann/-frau), a degree in Business Administration, certification as a Purchasing and Materials Management Specialist (e.g., certified purchasing manager), or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in purchasing desirable, preferably in a manufacturing company
  • Knowledge of procurement management and service disposition/planning
  • Understanding of technological contexts and industrial manufacturing processes
  • Strong negotiation skills as well as planning and organizational ability, combined with teamwork and communication skills
  • Confident user of SAP and MS Office
