About the role
- Einkäufer managing procurement for production materials and trade goods in Energy Systems. Leading cost reduction strategies and supplier portfolio development.
Responsibilities
- Strategic and operational overall responsibility for all product groups, including production materials and trade goods for the entire Energy Systems business unit
- Significant scope to develop and implement cost-reduction measures as a contribution to the company’s success
- Development of the supplier portfolio (national and international), including required on-site visits and associated contract structuring
- Identify product alternatives and additions in coordination with specialist departments
- Requirements assessment in coordination with requestors, inventory monitoring and materials planning
- Prepare requests for quotation (RFQs), obtain and evaluate offers
- Issue purchase orders and schedule delivery dates in coordination with production
- Process order confirmations, monitor delivery deadlines and handle claims/complaints
- Develop logistics concepts to ensure supply availability during shortages
- Conduct supplier audits in cooperation with our SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) Management
Requirements
- A completed university degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent qualification with further training as a certified specialist in Purchasing and Materials Management
- Several years of professional experience in purchasing raw materials or production materials
- Expertise in materials planning for a manufacturing/production operation
- Strong self-initiative, a proactive approach and a hands-on mentality
- Confident presence when dealing with suppliers and strong negotiation skills
- Independent and goal-oriented working style, combined with strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good SAP user skills
- Good command of English
