Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Desjardins Group’s data backup systems while ensuring data integrity and a sound infrastructure.
- Help optimize processes as well as Desjardins’s data life cycle.

- Ensure scalable and effective backups through proactive capacity planning, performance controls and configuration settings.
- Define, implement and maintain backup policies in the cloud computing platform.
- Automate recurring operations (rollout, configuration, monitoring, remediation) using tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, Python or equivalent.
- Implement security policies and procedures for data backup.
- Install, maintain and update data backup hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot errors and backup issues, and analyze the root causes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience administering data backup systems for a large organization
- Knowledge of French is required
- Knowledge of the Commvault Metallic solution
- Knowledge of cloud backup solutions
- Knowledge of scripts, such as Terraform
- Knowledge of backup automation solutions
- Knowledge of Commvault
- Knowledge of Cohesity
