About the role

  • Manager leading Solutions Consulting team at DeepL, focusing on pre-sales engagements and technical evaluations. Driving team performance and customer advocacy in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Solutions Consultants, creating an environment where they can excel in pre-sales engagements, technical evaluations, and ongoing customer advocacy.
  • Drive the professional growth and development of team members. Oversee complex sales cycles with Account Executives, coach to success, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Set the vision, culture, and clear performance expectations for your team.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop new team members.
  • Standardize best practices and processes to continuously improve team efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to stay ahead of product innovations.
  • Be a thought leader, customer advocate, and partner to employees and customers.
  • Act as a customer champion, ensuring feedback and insights are channeled effectively into DeepL’s product roadmap.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, and leading teams with a focus on pre-sales engineering, solution consulting, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Solutions Consultant, Sales Engineering, or equivalent function within the SaaS industry.
  • Proven track record of building high-performing teams that meet and exceed objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong customer empathy and passion for revenue growth.
  • Outstanding leadership skills, with a commitment to cultivating talent, fostering collaboration, and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Exceptional communication skills across mediums and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong strategic thinking and project management abilities.
  • A passion for solutions consulting, technological innovation, and overcoming language barriers on a global scale.
  • Experience with Salesforce or related CRM tools is preferred.
  • Comfortable with a hybrid working model and able to come into our Austin office regularly (2x a week).
