About the role
- Senior Administrator Network & Firewall supporting client infrastructure operations in Ulm or Hybrid environment. Engaging with managed infrastructure teams and overseeing various IT operations.
Responsibilities
- Support customers in the administration and operation of virtual server environments
- Operate the infrastructure of network and firewall environments
- Deploy and maintain systems in data centers and cloud environments
- Plan, develop, and implement new IT solutions and environments
- Ensure IT operations of data centers and services through monitoring, patch management, vulnerability management, and lifecycle management
- Identify opportunities for improvement in IT processes and systems
- Design future IT environments and advise clients
- Commission, administer, maintain, and monitor IT infrastructure components
- Provide technical support, further development, and operation of IT environments, both on-premises and in the cloud
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist, Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and firewalls, preferably in an IT service environment
- Strong knowledge of networking solutions (Cisco, HP)
- Strong knowledge of firewall solutions (Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Proficient in Linux
- Good knowledge of IT operations, infrastructure solutions, and security architectures
- Familiarity with security standards (ISO 2700x, IT Baseline Protection/IT-Grundschutz)
- Good German language skills (C1) spoken and written
