Responsibilities
Gathering and analyzing technical customer requirements in existing or new environments
Installing, integrating and migrating large IT and database systems based on customer requirements
Operating, optimizing and further developing customer-side database solutions
Ensuring smooth operation including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and backup and recovery
Operating the customer’s Windows Server environment as the underlying platform for the database
Example projects in this area may include: operating the SQL database infrastructure for a federal authority, designing and implementing a highly available database solution for an international logistics provider
Requirements
Successfully completed training in an IT-related field or a degree in computer science
Experience in planning and implementing projects in the database domain, primarily with Microsoft SQL environments
Deep knowledge of administering Microsoft SQL databases and cluster architectures
Practical experience working with adjacent Microsoft infrastructures, in particular administering large Windows Server environments supporting SQL
Ideally certified with vendor certifications in Microsoft databases
Ideally holder of a Federal Republic of Germany security clearance at level 2 (SÜ2)
