Bid Manager leading the bid process for large and complex public and defence tenders at Damovo. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure high-quality bids and compliance with requirements.
Responsibilities
Strategic bid leadership
Develop the bid strategy for very large and complex tenders in the Public and Defence sectors.
Analyse RfPs and procurement documents (VgV, UVgO, GWB etc.) and structure bid content.
Conduct competitive analyses to clearly differentiate Damovo’s solutions.
Manage the entire bid process: scheduling, resource management, and orchestration of internal stakeholders.
Facilitate workshops, kick-off meetings and review sessions.
Responsible for the creation, consolidation and final quality of all bid documents.
Ensure compliance with formal procurement criteria, clear argumentation lines and consistent messaging.
Develop and maintain reusable templates and answer modules specifically for Public & Defence.
Identify technical, security-related, legal and commercial risks.
Work closely with specialist departments such as Legal, Finance, Security and Architecture to assess and mitigate risks.
Take account of requirements such as BSI-Grundschutz, VS conformity and contractual specificities of the public sector.
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in bid management, ideally in the public sector or other security-critical environments.
Excellent knowledge of public procurement procedures (VgV, UVgO, GWB, e-procurement platforms).
Broad understanding of modern ICT solutions and managed services (e.g. networking, security, UCC, cloud).
Strong risk management skills and the ability to assess complex requirements in a structured way.
Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
High degree of personal responsibility, quality focus and structured working style.
Very good German and English language skills.
