About the role

  • Clinical Pharmacist responsible for formulary management and oversight at CVS Health. Supporting clinical initiatives and ensuring compliance with policies while maintaining formulary accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the creation and maintenance of the Aetna Health Fully Insured formularies assuring clinical appropriateness, accuracy and clinical consistency.
  • Support clinical workgroups, enterprise formulary initiatives, and additional formulary related clinical activities to meet organizational and marketplace needs.
  • Consult as a subject matter expert facilitating formulary decision-making process and enhancement of formulary management systems.
  • Provide direction to internal partners to implement downstream formulary activities including adjudication, web/portal, communications, and publications.
  • Assist with the coordination of formulary activities to meet organizational goals, client needs, performance standards, and Plan requirements while ensuring compliance with established Policies and Procedures, Best Practices and applicable regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years Pharmacist experience in managed care corporate setting, including demonstrated drug information knowledge and formulary understanding, and/or completion of PGY1 managed care residency.
  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing in state of residence
  • MS Office Suite including Access, Excel, Power Point and Visio
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Formulary Management in Commercial and Medicaid environments; Drug File and Adjudication knowledge; and the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee decision making process.
  • Clinical skills and knowledge required
