About the role

  • IT Technician managing support and administration tasks for Coveris France. Collaborating with local and international IT staff for efficient service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to the IT needs of Coveris France.
  • Manage workload using the helpdesk ticketing system, handling assigned tickets and tickets submitted in person.
  • Configure hardware and ensure returned devices are ready for reuse and compliant with GDPR.
  • Collaborate with local and international IT staff to resolve tickets and complete projects.
  • Assist users with technical questions related to hardware and core software (primarily Microsoft and common corporate applications).
  • Communicate with company personnel by phone, MS Teams and e-mail to address support requests.
  • Configure laptops and desktop PCs with required software and ensure compliance with device commissioning procedures.
  • Manage changes to user, group and computer accounts in Active Directory.
  • Process helpdesk tickets as assigned and monitor and reclaim team tickets when their priority and due date indicate they will miss SLAs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s (Bac+3) or Master’s (Bac+5) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2 years) in an IT technician or networking role, preferably within an industrial environment.
  • Professional working proficiency in English required (daily English calls).
  • Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows 10 and 11.
  • Willingness to travel between the three French sites: Firminy (42), Saint-Pal-de-Mons (43), Montfaucon (43).
