Responsibilities
Own and run core People Operations activities, including payroll processing, HRIS management, etc.
Serve as a first-line point of contact for employees, handling complex employee situations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
Build, document, and continuously improve People processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and a great employee experience as the company scales.
Partner closely with team leadership to design and execute people programs, including performance processes, manager enablement, and employee experience initiatives.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies, partnering with leadership as needed. Establish all HR policies, handbooks, and compliance protocols for a distributed, multi-state workforce.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and leaders across the company on people-related initiatives.
Partnering closely with Clinician Ops and Talent Leadership to ensure the seamless transition from candidate to employee is flawless, and that onboarding remains optimized.
Audit existing workflows to identify gaps before they become problems; you’ll be the one to say, "We need a system for this," and then go build it.
Requirements
8-10+ years in HR/People Operations, with a proven track record of building departments from scratch in a startup environment.
You embrace the “0 to 1” mindset and thrive in ambiguity and enjoy the challenge of turning a blank slate into a well-oiled machine. You have experience taking a company from 20 to 150+ employees/clinicians, ideally more than once.
The ability to communicate with extreme professionalism and empathy. You’ll be a leader with internal and external facing responsibilities, necessitating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Extremely detail-oriented and meticulous, and an understanding of licensing and compliance with a strong focus on accuracy and follow-through.
Comfort using AI-powered tools and modern HR technology (ideally Rippling) to improve efficiency and workflows.
