About the role

  • Business Development Lead managing the firm’s proprietary sourcing engine for an investment platform. Driving external relationships and coordinating with the investment team to ensure aligned sourcing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • developing and managing relationships with business owners, brokers, advisors, and referral sources to generate consistent deal flow
  • driving a structured outreach program across target sectors and geographies, including maintaining cadence and follow-up discipline
  • owning and maintaining CRM data hygiene, pipeline tracking, and sourcing analytics (activity, conversion, funnel metrics)
  • partnering with the investment team to qualify opportunities, prioritize leads, and advance high-quality prospects
  • coordinating introductory calls and meetings; preparing leadership with relevant background and context
  • representing the firm in meetings, conferences, and industry events; supporting the firm’s external positioning
  • supporting development of outreach materials and messaging (firm overview, buyer profile, sector theses)
  • coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely responsiveness to intermediaries and business owners
  • assisting with special projects and internal ad hoc requests related to sourcing strategy and pipeline development

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in business development, investment sourcing, private equity, investment banking, brokerage, or related fields
  • demonstrated ability to build relationships and drive outcomes through persistent, thoughtful outreach
  • strong organizational skills with comfort operating high-volume pipelines and tracking activity rigorously
  • strong written and verbal communication skills; professional presence with external stakeholders
  • self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and manage ambiguity
  • proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; CRM familiarity preferred
