About the role

  • Area Sales Manager responsible for B2C channel sales and managing sales teams in Guwahati. Ensuring sales growth, objectives, and team performance within FMCG or similar industries.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure and support Branch Sales Deliverables
  • B2C Sales – channel sales in an open distribution model
  • Sales and distribution for an entire state
  • Managing Primary and Secondary Sales and business growth, category and share objectives
  • Delivering primary and secondary sales objectives
  • Delivering numeric distribution objectives for both direct and indirect distribution
  • Managing customer payments and debtor day objectives
  • Managing a two tier sales team of Sales Executives and Salesforce (9-10 company employees) including resource deployment, planning PJPs, reviewing Go-To-Market effectiveness and sales delivery
  • Perform HR functions of recruitment, training and development of sales team.

Requirements

  • PG preferred. Or graduate with good qualifications.
  • At least 6-7 years of prior sales experience in channel sales with customer management skills
  • At least 3 years of team leader experience of company employees preferably in ASM or equivalent position
  • Experience with reputed B2C companies in leadership positions in their segments
  • Industry preference FMCG/Paints/Lubes/Tyres/Consumer durables
