About the role

  • Manager overseeing business development for independent retailers at Federated Co-operatives Limited. Analyzing markets and building relationships to grow business in Western Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and convert prospects into clients.
  • Increase The Grocery People (TGP) brand visibility by attending industry events, conducting market calls, and building relationships internally and externally.
  • Analyze industry trends and data to identify improvements, lead cross-functional initiatives, and present strategic recommendations.
  • Set and monitor operational standards, support teams with coaching and resources, and provide leadership through training and performance development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to align strategies, support growth initiatives, and ensure seamless execution across the business.

Requirements

  • Have 6+ years of relevant experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) sales and/or working with independent retailers.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in commerce/business (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
