Provide nursing care in the Electrophysiology Department at Cleveland Clinic. Assist caregivers in diagnostic and therapeutic services while ensuring exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings.
Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal findings.
Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.
Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team.
Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning.
Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care.
Educate patients and families.
Cover other nursing roles in the department and/or hospitals.
Requirements
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within six months of hire
One year of recent experience as an RN OR Licensed RN with at least two years of LPN experience within the same Cleveland Clinic procedural department
Demonstrated clinical competence
Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification must be obtained within five (5) years of hire
Two years of recent experience as an RN (preferred)
Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation (preferred)
IV skills (preferred)
