About the role

  • Senior Solicitor assessing and resolving complex land title matters in Victoria. Contributing to regulatory frameworks and policy improvements to uphold land title integrity.

Responsibilities

  • You are a technical legal specialist who assesses and resolves complex, high-risk land title matters, providing expert statutory interpretation and advice to protect the integrity of the land titles Register and avoid litigation.
  • You will contribute to regulatory frameworks, policy and process improvement, guidance development, and capability building, underpinning confidence in Victoria’s multibillion-dollar property market through lawful, consistent outcomes.

Requirements

  • Qualification in Law and admitted, or eligible for admission, as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria or related discipline (mandatory)
  • Sound knowledge of the Electronic Conveyancing National Law (Victoria), Transfer of Land Act 1958, Subdivision Act 1988, Water Act 1989, Operating Requirements for electronic conveyancing, Participation Rules for electronic conveyancing, Registrar’s Requirements for paper conveyancing transactions, Subdivision Act 1988, and associated acts and regulations (desirable)
  • 3+ years’ post-admission experience (desirable)
