About the role

  • Sr. Events Coordinator overseeing events and managing coordinators for the Church. Responsible for professionalism in event planning and setup while attending events as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the Events Coordinators while overseeing the events and related processes.
  • Provides a vital contact for coordination and supervision of event planning, development, and setup.
  • Works with and understands a wide range of sponsors and event types and works with a high level of professionalism with all sponsors, departments, and related event support groups.
  • Will also be in attendance when managing an event, often in the evening, on the weekend or holidays.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, public relations (or related field), or applicable equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years' experience in event management, public relations or related area and exceptional ability to organize and coordinate all phases of event management.
  • Ability to use a variety of computer software and related devices used in generating documents, schedules, setup renderings, etc.
  • Able to manage a team in an effective manner.
  • Knowledge of crowd management processes, including a working knowledge of operational plans, charting, and managing ingress and egress plans for audiences.
  • Ability to lead and train other employees.
  • Excellent communication skills, calm and rational decision maker.
  • Able to work at a computer, sitting down for long periods as necessary.
  • Can walk and move from one place to another for events as necessary.
