About the role

  • Database Administrator responsible for administration and optimization of databases for major clients, ensuring quality service in a multi-sector environment.

Responsibilities

  • As part of large-scale projects delivered for our major, multi-sector clients, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of databases.
  • Ensure high-quality client relationships and service delivery.
  • Administer and operate production databases.
  • Provide level 2 and/or 3 support (depending on the client) and participate in on-call rotations (depending on the client).
  • Resolve or escalate N2/N3 incidents.
  • Execute change/work requests in accordance with service commitments.
  • Assess and optimize database performance and propose industrialization and automation initiatives for operational maintenance (MCO).
  • Participate in post-incident analysis and lessons-learned workshops (REX).
  • Proactively propose improvements for the implementation and evolution of database monitoring.
  • Participate in ad-hoc build, architecture, audit, and consulting assignments.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years' experience with deep expertise in PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.
  • Significant experience managing complex level-3 issues and migrating older database versions to newer ones.
  • Ability to translate backlog items into concrete technical features and to drive their implementation.
  • Experience working in highly secure and regulated environments.
  • Strong technical skills combined with good communication abilities, including proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a clear, strategic view of objectives.
