About the role

  • IT Project Manager responsible for leading and delivering IT projects at Skanska Group. Collaborating with stakeholders in a global context to align IT strategy with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria; develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Act as a key interface between business, IT, and external vendors, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, manage issues proactively, and ensure quality assurance before and after implementation.
  • Support change, adoption, and communication activities to ensure business value realization.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of project delivery methods, tools, and best practices within Group IT.
  • Work in a global context with stakeholders from different countries and cultures.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in a relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably in complex, decentralized, or multi-stakeholder environments
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with IT systems, infrastructure, and software development lifecycles
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); Swedish is meritorious
  • Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, SAFe, ADKAR) are meritorious
  • Experience in digital transformation, cloud migration, or enterprise system implementations is meritorious
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is meritorious
