About the role

Responsibilities
- Responsible for supplier and procurement management of defined commodity groups and investment projects
- Identifying cost-optimization potential within commodity groups and processes
- Initiating and implementing tenders as well as negotiating terms and contracts
- Evaluating and developing existing supplier partnerships
- Representing procurement interests in cross-functional teams
- Regular business travel to BUTTING sites in Germany and to business partners domestically and across Europe
Requirements
- Relevant degree and/or commercial or technical vocational training with appropriate continuing education
- Professional experience in strategic purchasing or project procurement
- Experience in negotiations and in implementing purchasing strategies
- Strong negotiation skills and assertiveness; resilient and flexible
- Cross-functional thinking and an understanding of complex processes
- Strong communication skills (internal and external)
- Entrepreneurial and strategic mindset
- Proficient in IT applications
- Experience with SAP applications is an advantage
- Excellent written and spoken German
- Good English skills
