About the role
- Principal Construction Sourcing PM at Micron Technology managing procurement and supplier engagement for major construction projects in Hiroshima, Japan.
Responsibilities
- Lead the procurement activities at the Project level for major construction projects.
- Manage both Pre & Post Contracts for the Projects you are assigned to.
- Work with category supplier managers and leaders.
- Involved in tenders for major General Contracts, coordinate with sub-contract tenders, project change orders.
- Collaborate with sourcing professionals across various categories in relation to building projects.
- Serve as the primary contact for commercial items related to the project once it enters the execution phase.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering.
- PMP and or RICS certification or equivalent, preferred
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong project management skills
- Experience with various types of contracts, including familiarity with FIDIC Contract
- Experience in construction of major construction projects
- Proficient in MS office
- Strong analytical and prioritization skills
- Able to speak and write English and Japanese.
