About the role

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end sales activities: maintenance, support and expansion of the existing customer base
  • Manage assigned customer portfolios in daily business, including preparation of quotes
  • Conduct price negotiations in close coordination with the business unit
  • Compile, analyze and extract relevant market information
  • New customer acquisition and development of additional sales opportunities
  • Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Occasional customer visits and participation in market-relevant meetings
  • Work independently on: tracking quotes, performing price calculations, supporting annual contracts
  • Coordinate internal processes, including handling complaints (first level)
  • Close cooperation with internal interfaces such as Credit Management, Logistics and Customer Service

Requirements

  • Completed commercial training or degree — ideally with a chemical or pharmaceutical focus
  • Several years of professional experience (ideally 3–5 years) in commodity trading, e.g., in Key Account Management, Product Management or inside sales
  • Confident and persuasive communication skills
  • Independent, structured and reliable way of working
  • Business-fluent English
  • Proficient with MS Office and SAP
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
