About the role

  • Specialty Pharmacy Technician in a hybrid role assisting with pharmacy related services and patient inquiries. Responsibilities include data entry of patient information and resolving claims.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately inputs patient, insurance, and prescription information into the pharmacy system
  • Answers incoming calls and assists callers with non-clinical inquiries
  • Resolves and ensures proper adjudication of claims
  • Confirm patient benefits with insurance and determine required authorizations to assist the patient with coverage of therapy prescribed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • License Mass Registered Pharmacy Tech required
  • 1-3 years related work experience required
  • Previous data entry experience (minimum three months)
  • Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access
