About the role

  • Business Development Manager at Wonde responsible for owning lead generation and managing new business opportunities. Engage customers, design outreach strategies, and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of lead generation within your territory, proactively identifying, sourcing, and engaging prospective customers through a range of channels and creative outreach approaches.
  • Design and execute personalised prospecting strategies, leveraging phone, email, video, events, referrals, partnerships, and other innovative techniques to generate demand.
  • Research and identify target customers, stakeholders, and decision-makers, developing tailored engagement plans to open meaningful sales conversations.
  • Own and manage the full sales cycle for new business opportunities, from initial outreach and discovery through to negotiation and close.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with prospective customers, acting as a consultative partner and representing Wonde with credibility and professionalism.
  • Lead seasoned sales conversations to uncover customer challenges, align solutions to strategic objectives, and clearly articulate value.
  • Deliver confident, compelling demonstrations and presentations of the Wonde platform to diverse audiences, including senior decision-makers.
  • Maintain full accountability for pipeline creation, progression, forecasting, and revenue performance against targets.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for new business within your territory, maintaining momentum and clear communication throughout the sales process.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Management to ensure smooth onboarding and handover, setting customers up for long-term success.
  • Use Salesforce to accurately track activity, pipeline, and forecasting, maintaining high standards of data quality and reporting.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success to share market insights, test new approaches, and refine messaging.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to improve sales processes, tools, and prospecting approaches, helping to scale what works.
  • Represent Wonde at industry events, generating new relationships and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Experience selling technology, SaaS, or digital solutions.
  • Proven experience sourcing and closing new business opportunities, with clear ownership of lead generation and pipeline creation.
  • Demonstrated success in a proactive sales role.
  • Strong consultative selling capability, with the ability to turn cold or warm outreach into high-quality opportunities.
  • Confidence using CRM systems (such as Salesforce) to manage pipeline, activity, and forecasting.
  • Creative and resourceful approach to prospecting, comfortable experimenting with different routes to market and engagement techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage, influence, and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong research and discovery skills, able to identify the right customers and tailor messaging effectively.
  • High levels of organisation and time management, able to balance prospecting, active deals, and account strategy.
  • Growing commercial mindset, with an understanding of revenue targets and the discipline required to achieve them.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, comfortable working autonomously and taking full ownership of results.
  • Resilient and adaptable, maintaining momentum and positivity in a target-driven environment.
