About the role

  • Product Line Manager overseeing BW Converting’s Bag product line and strategies for market success. Driving product development, marketing, and financial goals within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Development, implementation and management of the product lifecycle management plan.
  • Central point of contact for collaboratively consolidating, prioritizing, refining, adding value to and publishing aggregated input from key subject-matter experts.
  • Lead the execution of product line initiatives through strong cross-functional collaboration, including prioritization of product development plans (NPD/VAVE), strategic marketing programs (including digital) and channel/region expansion plans.
  • Design and execute go-to-market planning and execution (messaging, positioning, differentiation features, benefits, collateral, tools, training, etc.).
  • Define, own and drive ambitious marketing targets and success metrics for the product portfolio, including marketing-driven growth initiatives, feature expansions and product launches.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional execution of our technical, commercial and business strategies within a matrix organization.
  • Support the sales team by communicating the products’ value proposition and developing sales enablement tools to support the selling process.
  • Increase market share in existing markets and identify and develop new markets.
  • Launch product and marketing campaigns and other sales programs as means to achieve revenue targets.
  • Meet or exceed NPD vitality targets by executing the product development process to develop and bring new products to market.
  • Ensure achievement of the company’s financial objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management or product development with capital goods.
  • Experience in the pouch/bag packaging industry is desirable but not required.
  • Proven track record of launching new products and experience working with Tier-1 customers.
  • Thorough knowledge of the flexible packaging market, including a deep understanding of product applications, channels, competitors and regulatory issues.
  • Ability to dive into technology and communicate complex concepts clearly and simply in written and verbal formats, including public speaking, product demonstrations and content creation.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with technical and commercial teams, representing partners’ and customers’ interests and developing innovative methods for collecting customer feedback.
  • High energy and enthusiasm that inspire and motivate others.
  • Global perspective and experience in international business, global business planning and global channel expansion.
  • Financial acumen, familiarity with planning and forecasting and with P&L responsibility.
  • Proven record of delivering sustainable, profitable revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated excellence in business strategy and development.
  • Success in driving a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strong innovation focus and customer-oriented background.
