About the role

  • Risk Analysis Manager leading a team to support risk management and credit reporting functions at Bank of America. Focused on data requests, reporting, and automation for credit risk analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, executes, and enhances reporting to allow Risk and business partners to effectively identify and manage risk
  • Manages the analysis of trends and oversees the data design, portfolio trends, loss trends, and portfolio dynamics to ensure alignment with business strategies
  • Serves as a liaison between the data, technology, and reporting teams in support of strategic initiatives affecting multiple Risk functions and lines of business to ensure company goals are met
  • Manages database production processes and performance reports for senior management, using data mining and other advanced analytical techniques to aggregate data
  • Responds to complex ad-hoc requests for information from both internal and external parties
  • Leads cross-functional strategic efforts to remediate data quality issues
  • Provides oversight of relevant systems and assures controls are operating effectively by monitoring outputs
  • The team develops, executes and enhances reporting and analysis that allows our risk and business partners to identify and manage credit risk, ensuring that Bank of America can deliver responsible growth within our risk framework.
  • The Risk Analysis Manager will use their extensive business and technical expertise to shape and implement the team’s strategy for counterparty credit risk (CCR) reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a reporting role
  • Experienced using SQL (Oracle Exadata) and in particular, extracting data with complex queries
  • Proficient using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and/or Tableau
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, data analysis and data connections
  • Advanced analytical skills that demonstrate ability to learn how to navigate systems, access data, reconcile numbers from different sources, identify discrepancies and understand drivers of change within data
  • Knowledge of counterparty credit risk and traded products
  • Capacity to quickly assimilate complex information and provide analysis tailored to suit the audience
  • Displays intellectual curiosity to challenge the status quo and tackle challenging problems.
