Responsibilities
Supporting the development execution of the product line strategy for Hardgoods & Accessories categories and classes
Contributing to the creation of product briefs that align with the category strategy, seasonal story-telling focus, and brand vision, fostering collaboration with the design and development teams
Contributing to the cross-functional product creation process from concept through to guest, through sharing your expert knowledge of product, the athlete and guest needs
Maintaining the ongoing organization of visual references, prototypes and samples to reflect the ever-evolving product line
Supporting to achieve and maintain key product Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), design and production costs relative to the market and guest value proposition
Contributing to the management of the product lifecycle management for each model, from development to commercialization, to eventual redesign, replacement or retirement
Contributing to seasonal selling plans and supporting our overall strategies (grow, diminish, hold, exist, launch, and sell thru vs sell-in)
Supporting in research and analysis of the global marketplace to identify key consumer and market insights to inform concept work and development of new products and the range
Supporting in the preparation of product presentations for key calendar touchpoints that inspire and deliver the critical information to our internal stakeholders, ensuring successful development of seasonal assets and plans
Contributing to Go To Market (GTM) product knowledge and supporting on the creation of selling tools and product information for our Commercial and Brand teams
Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain
Requirements
3+ years of experience in outdoor retail or customer service, merchandising, product development, wholesale, and/or retail buying roles
Strong knowledge of sell through, calculating cost of goods, and the open to buy process
Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
Effectively manage your time, possessing strong analytical, presentation and communication skills
Strong leadership and teamwork skills, you are solution-oriented, and you are able to facilitate work across many different internal departments
Strong understanding of the outdoor industry and the key outdoor activities we make product for
Excellent understanding of the design and development process
Excellent in the use of Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
Willing and able to travel as required (trade shows, key dealer presentations, key vendor meetings, core consumer events, etc.)
Proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
