About the role

  • Governance Manager enabling a multi-disciplinary team at ANZ to work on customer-focused initiatives. Guiding and inspiring the squad towards strategic goals and delivering customer value at pace.

Responsibilities

  • Enable and inspire a multi-disciplinary team to pursue its mission
  • Guide the squad on 'what' work should be completed
  • Create, prioritise, sequence and maintain the Product Backlog
  • Assist with the elaboration of Themes, Features and Epics into User Stories
  • Convey the vision and goals at the beginning of every Quarter and Sprint
  • Ensure the Squad remains aligned to these
  • Review progress and reprioritise or resequence any work that is not complete
  • Engage customers and stakeholders to ensure the Squad is working on the right things
  • Actively participate in daily standups, Sprint Planning, Showcases and Retrospective ceremonies
  • Remove roadblocks and manage alignment and interdependencies with other product owners or teams/squads
  • Liaise with Tribe and Chapter leadership and other POs to ensure the squad has the support required to succeed
  • Advocate the squad mission and refine it with the Tribe Lead where required
  • Share the progress of the squad with the wider organisation

Requirements

  • Ability and openness to adapt and grasp new knowledge, skills and content
  • Deep expertise on the relevant topic
  • Ability to galvanise a diverse group of people around a common mission
  • Proven analytical skills and evidence based decision making
  • Proven ability to innovate and adapt to latest development in area of expertise
  • Awareness of responsible lending environment with deep expertise in the standardised statement of position initiative with a keen interest in regulation
  • Strategic capability – translate strategic directive into customer value propositions, products, and for our customers
  • Delivery focus – experience in delivering change across our ANZ channels
  • Financial acumen – ability to quickly learn financial levers and assess viability of opportunities
