About the role

  • Business Development Manager responsible for driving growth in additive coatings business in Vietnam. Engage with customers and ensure product excellence while leading market initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the commercial and technical representative for allnex Additives in Vietnam.
  • Develop and manage target customer segments, key accounts, and opportunity pipelines.
  • Drive new business opportunities, volume growth, and margin improvement in line with regional targets.
  • Support cross-BU sales teams and ensure successful deal closure through strong technical and commercial input.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with direct and indirect customers, distributors, and partners.
  • Lead the resolution of customer technical issues in collaboration with local and regional Application Specialists.
  • Provide technical support, product benchmarking, and application development for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the implementation of new additives promotional initiatives , with a focus on strategic product placement and future developments.
  • Support new product development efforts and contribute to the creation of technical literature, bulletins, and presentations tailored to local market needs.
  • Monitor local market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with Product Line Managers, planning, production, supply chain, marketing, and quality teams to ensure optimal product mix, pricing, and on-time delivery.
  • Manage and develop local distribution channels to ensure profitability and strategic alignment.
  • Provide regular business development, product development, and technical support reports to regional stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 7 - 10 years of experience in the chemical industry, preferably within coatings technologies (architectural, solvent-borne and/or water-borne systems).
  • Proven experience and success in at least two of the following areas: Business development or sales
  • Technical services or application support
  • Product development
  • Operations or business management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Good proficiency in English and local languages; other languages are added advantage!
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions and manage cross-functional and cross-BU projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in customer and internal laboratory environments when required.
  • Experience working in multicultural and multi-industry environments is a strong advantage.
