Responsibilities

  • Define and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for MBS and the Self-Service Portal, aligning with overall IT and business objectives.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user feedback sessions to identify opportunities and inform product direction.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on business value, technical feasibility, and strategic impact.
  • Effectively communicate roadmap and progress to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure designs are technically sound, scalable, and secure.
  • Drive the design process, including wireframing, prototyping, and user testing, to optimize user experience.
  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from conception to launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Work in an Agile environment, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality features and enhancements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for MBS and Self-Service Portal products, fostering strong relationships with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and engineering teams.
  • Proactively manage expectations and communicate updates effectively.
  • Possess an understanding of relevant technologies, system integrations, data flows, and security best practices.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor product performance.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify areas for improvement and inform future product development.
  • Ensure all product development adheres to internal governance policies, security standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a technical product management role.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software products, preferably in the enterprise application or internal tools space.
  • Experience with mission-critical business systems and/or self-service portal development is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and technologies.
  • Familiarity with API design, data modeling, and system integrations.
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security concepts.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and data schemas.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Proactive, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
