About the role

  • Senior Key Account Manager driving growth in the German trade for ahead. Responsible for key partnerships and strategic development within the Markant network.

Responsibilities

  • You drive ahead's growth in the German retail market with a clear focus on the Markant network.
  • You are responsible for key partnerships, evolve our sales strategy, and ensure our products are sustainably established in the market.
  • Key Account Management with true ownership
  • You take end-to-end responsibility for our Markant partners — from relationship building and annual business reviews to negotiating commercial terms and listings at the decision-maker level.
  • Strategic management & growth
  • You develop and implement growth strategies for your customer portfolio and identify new potential within the Markant network.
  • Negotiations & commercial terms management
  • You confidently lead price, terms and framework agreement negotiations and operate securely within central regulation systems.
  • Market & competitive analysis
  • You analyze market trends, competitors and assortments in the FMCG environment and derive concrete measures for your accounts.
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • You work closely with Trade Marketing, Supply Chain and Category Management to ensure strong execution at retail.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Key Account Management within the FMCG/brand environment
  • Very good understanding of Markant structures, processes and central regulation systems
  • Confident negotiator at decision‑maker level with experience in commercial terms and annual business discussions
  • Strong analytical understanding of sales drivers, margins and sales KPIs
  • Strategic thinking combined with a clear hands‑on mentality
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities
  • High level of commitment, ownership and results‑orientation
  • Fluent German language skills
