About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead daily AP and GL operations; ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of four accountants
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with revenue recognition and related adjustments
- Apply working knowledge of GAAP, FAR, CAS, DCAA, and internal policies
- Analyze financial data, investigate variances, and identify corrective actions
- Prepare and support internal and external audit requests
- Improve accounting procedures and workflow efficiency
- Support special projects, system updates, and process improvements as assigned by the Controller
Requirements
- BA/BS in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Deltek Costpoint experience required
- GovCon (government contractor) accounting experience required
- Strong working knowledge of AP and GL processes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
