About the role

  • HR Manager overseeing operations for Southern Europe within Agfa. Responsible for HR operations with a focus on Italy and Spain.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure accurate and timely payroll execution in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors
  • Manage HR administration, contracts, and employee data in compliance with local regulations
  • Serve as the main point of contact for managers and employees on HR operational matters
  • Ensure a consistent and positive employee experience across the region
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle (onboarding to offboarding)
  • Ensure adherence to local labor laws and regulatory requirements in Italy, Spain, and Greece
  • Maintain the right balance between business needs and legal frameworks
  • Implement and localize global HR policies, processes, and systems
  • Drive standardization while respecting local market specifics
  • Deliver accurate HR reporting and insights to support decision-making
  • Monitor key HR metrics (headcount, turnover, absenteeism, etc.)
  • Partner with HR Business Partner and business leaders to support organizational effectiveness
  • Collaborate with global HR teams (Reward, Talent, Learning, Comp&Ben..) to ensure alignment and best practices

Requirements

  • Fluent Spanish and Italian are required for this job
  • Bachelor’s degree and qualification in a related field (e.g. economics field, law, HR, ...)
  • Knowledge of labor law legislation in both Italy and Spain
  • Good knowledge of excel and word
  • Operating and reporting within an international HR organization, English working knowledge is also important.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage conflict and ambiguity, while effectively problem solving in difficult situations.
  • Credible negotiator and influencer with a high degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate on complex, sensitive and contentious issues with all levels within the business in a professional and positive manner
  • Ability to manage complex workloads and work to conflicting deadlines
