About the role

  • Billing Coordinator responsible for overseeing group accounts and resolving billing issues at Aflac. Collaborating with internal and external partners for accurate premium management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees group accounts with moderate enrollment, product and billing complexities
  • Oversees multiple group accounts and their members, focusing on premium accounting and billing
  • Handles past due management, billing discrepancies, and error resolution for assigned customers, including payment collection, aging suspense, and member-level discrepancies
  • Manages and reconciles suspense accounts for assigned blocks
  • Collaborates with external and internal partners to ensure accurate premium payments and applications
  • Conducts premium payment audits as needed to help clients identify and rectify incorrect or missing payments
  • Reports the financial status of group accounts to internal and external partners
  • Works with internal departments to resolve any premium or billing issues, changes, updates, or errors, and communicates findings effectively; acts as a liaison with other internal departments as needed
  • Collaborates with internal departments to resolve billing versus remittance challenges and past due invoices
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with internal and external clients
  • Works with relevant areas on account reviews and audits to address broker or client concerns and develop action plans for issues, risks, and opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 2 years of job-related work experience in the insurance and/or financial industry
  • Outstanding knowledge of payroll account management
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and customer service abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, oral, and telephone communication skills to effectively interact with Aflac’s clients
  • Experience addressing diverse customer needs.
