About the role

  • Billing Administrator responsible for data entry and invoice preparation at AFD based in Edmonton. Handling invoicing, data computation, and ensuring confidentiality of records.

Responsibilities

  • Compile data, compute fees, and prepare invoices for billing purposes
  • Process inventory receipts, inventory transfers, and reconciliations
  • Compile data supporting documents to verify the accuracy of billing data and to ensure receipt of the product ordered
  • Compare invoices against purchase orders and shipping and receiving documents to verify receipt of items ordered
  • Assist in the preparation of special invoices, such as consolidated invoices and contract-specific invoicing
  • Create and customize Excel-formatted reports on customer usage and spending
  • Comply with billing and accounting deadlines
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its business partners
  • Respond to phone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from clients, business partners, and other parties
  • Send out invoices to customers and/or submit via online submission portals
  • Other related duties as required or assigned

Requirements

  • Education High School Diploma required
  • Post-Secondary Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
  • Experience 3+ years’ experience in a Billing role
